LAGUNA
DE CHICABAL -
Location: San Martín Sacatepequez, Quetzaltenango
Department. Elevation: 2,900 meters.
In the center of the crater of Chicabal,
at an elevation of 2,712 (8,898 feet)
meters, lies a lake with a diameter of
500 meters (1,640 feet). Since for the
inhabitants of San Martín Sacatepequez
the Laguna de Chicabal is sacred, this
site is often used to celebrate Mayan
rituals. A Mayan priest will guide the
hike and explain about the culture, religion,
flora and fauna of the area.

day at 6:00 AM back at 1:00 PM

Hiking boots, sun cream, sun glasses,
camera, binoculars, 2 liters of water,
