DAY 1. Guatemala City
Lunes - Land in Guatemala City. Depending on the time of arrival, the night will either be spent in a hotel close located in "La Zona Viva". Pickup is always organized.
DAY 2. Tikal National Park
Martes – You will take a flight to Santa Elena. Then you will be staying in the heart of the jungle inside the National Park Tikal. Tikal is Guatemala's most famous cultural and natural preserve. You will finish the evening with a guided sunset tour of the beautiful Mayan Tikal National Park.
DAY 3. Tikal National Park Miércoles - Guided sunrise tour. In the afternoon you will depart for Rio Dulce. Our hotel is located inside the rain forest.
DAY 4. Rio Dulce Jueves - Enjoy the spectacular Castillo de San Felipe, and swim in the hot springs in Paraíso Farm. The highlight of the day is the boat ride from Río Dulce to Livingston.
DAY 5. Livingston
Viernes - Travel by boat to Los Siete Altares for picnic and swimming. There will also be a possibility to visit Playa Blanca, the best beach in the area. In Museo Multicultural de Livingston we will learn about the Guatemalan culture.
DAY 6. Cobán
Sábado - Leave from Livingston to Rio Dulce and then Cobán City. Here you will enjoy the best Guatemalan coffee.
DAY 7. Cobán-Semuq Champey Domingo - Discover the Lanquín caves and what is considered to be "the most beautiful area in the country". In the evening you return to Cobán.
DAY 8. Antigua Lunes - Leave from Cobán to Antigua. There is much to see in Antigua. It is okay to explore the area independently, or to join our tour. Antigua was declared a World Heritage Site, and is one of the oldest colonial towns in Central America .
DAY 9. Pacaya Martes - A simple volcano hike to the most popular volcano in Guatemala, Volcán Pacaya.
Here it's possible to see liquid lava!
DAY 10. Monterrico
Sábado - Guatemala's most beautiful beach consists of black sand. During the right season there's the possibility to release turtles from the reserve. Each early morning, tours are given to the lagoons in Monterrico.
DAY 11. Quetzaltenango Miércoles - To those who feel in shape, a night hike is offered, alternatively a morning hike, to the top of the volcano Santa María (3800 m.a.s.). From the top we can see straight down into the crater of the volcano Santiaguito, - Central America's most active volcano. There's also the option to visit the colorful Mercado de Democracía, the historic Parque Centro América, Museo de History Natural or Teatro Municipal. During the evening salsa-lessons are given.
DAY 12. Quetzaltenango-Fuentes GeorginasJueves - Visit the natural spa with hot springs! And you will also visit "Las Cumbres" a natural sauna center, located close to the Volano Santiaguito.
DAY 13. Lago de Atitlán Viernes - One of
the world's most beautiful lakes is surrounded by three volcanoes, Atitlan, Tolimán and San Pedro. Take a bike ride in the mountains, a boat ride between the lake's various villages, canoe, participate in a yoga class, enjoy a full body massage, - there are many options!
DAY 14. Chichicastenango-Guatemala City Domingo - We will visit Guatemala's largest market and buy handicrafts. After lunch we will go to Guatemala City.
DAY 15. Guatemala City Lunes - Back where we started the adventure.
