Itinerary

Day 1. Tuxtla Gutierréz.

Monday- Arriving at Tuxtla Gutierréz airport you will be welcomed by your English speaking guide and transferred to your selected hotel. The remainder of the day is free to relax or explore on your own.

Day 2. San Cristobal de las Casas.

Tuesday- Transferred to San Cristobal, Situated in the highlands of Chiapas this town is a good place to go to see a bigger town (around 140 000 in population) and enjoy cultural activities and

visit markets.

Day 3. Palenque.

Wednesday- Today you will have a tour of this famous Mayan site. The Palenque Mayan ruins are located close to the waterfalls Agua Azul and Misol-Ha and the river Usumacinta. The ancient architecture is spectacular. The remainder of the day is free to relax in the beautiful colonial City San Cristobal de las Casas.

Day 4. Quetzaltenango.

Thursday- Transferred to Quetzaltenango. This is the second most important city of Guatemala. It has got the name of Capital of Central America because of its culture and history.

Day 5. Lake Atitlán.

Friday- Lake Atitlán is one of the most beautiful lakes of the world. A fantastic view is created by the three volcanoes which surround the lake. You will stay in Panajachel, from where you will have a tour of the surroundings.

Day 6. Lake Atitlán.

Saturday- Transferred by boat to one of the most spectacular hotels in the country; Casa del Mundo is located at the top of a hill from where you will have the best view of the volcanoes and the mountains around this beautiful lake.

Day 7. Chichicastenango.

Sunday- The village itself is famous for its huge market, where typical handicrafts and other goods are sold. Every Sunday this market takes place. Transferred to Quetzaltenango where you will be staying with a local family to start the process of Full Immersion in Spanish offered by the Spanish School CELAS MAYA.

Day 8, 9, 10, 11, 12. Quetzaltenango.

Monday-Friday. You will be taking Spanish Classes at CELAS MAYA with the system one-on-one instruction, 5 hours per day with daily activities and trips to the interesting and beautiful sites around this great city.

Day 13. Antigua Guatemala.

Departure to Antigua Guatemala. Antigua Guatemala may be the most outstanding and best-preserved colonial city in Latin America. The rest of the day is free to explore the city and relax.

DAY 14,15. Placencia or Hopkins and Cosckcomb Preserve.

Transffered to Placencia which offers 16 miles of white sand beaches and inland options combined. Also Hopkins offers both beach and mainland activities. Besides if you are very lucky, you may see a jaguar.

DAY 16. Belize City.

Fly to Belize City and fly to San Pedro where you will enjoy the best restaurants in Belize on this Caribbean resort island.

Day 17. The blue whole.

Take a day trip to dive or snorkel the Blue Hole. A big circular hole (4 km across) creates an outstanding dive site, in the Lighthouse Reef.

Day 18. Belize City.

Fly back to Belize City, the rest of the day will be free to rest, relax or explore the city.

Day 19. Belize City.

Today marks the end of this wonderful journey. Transfer to the international airport for your return flight home.
